Vera: Bones baby scoop!
Bones herself is not the most traditional person, and she definitely does not give birth in a normal, traditional way. But in an upcoming episode, she does something involving her baby that is surprisingly very traditional. Maybe it's at the insistence of her baby daddy?

SPOILER-Latest from Entertainment Weekly 30.03.2012

I feel like I know so much about what’s coming up on Bones but also nothing at all. Does that make sense? At any rate, what can you tell me about what’s coming up? — Debra
Well, now that Bones has been picked up for another season, I can tell you a little bit about what we might see next season. You see, after the baby storyline was integrated into the current season (which finally returns Monday!) a few things were put on a the backburner and could resurface next season. Among them? A personal storyline with Cam, and according to EP Hart Hanson, “a Hodgins family surprise.” “Our hands were a little bit tied this year because of the five fewer episodes, we weren’t able to give some of the other characters that we love, Hodgins and Cam, more extensive arcs,” said fellow EP Stephen Nathan in a conference call with reporters.

Bones Renewed for an 8th Season

HOT FROM FOX...

BRENNAN AND BOOTH HAVE ANOTHER REASON TO CELEBRATE AS FOX DELIVERS AN EIGHTH SEASON OF "BONES"

It's a Girl! BONES Returns with a New Arrival on the First of Seven All-New Episodes Monday, April 2, on FOX

FOX has renewed the hit series BONES for its upcoming eighth season, it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, President of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.
"Over the past seven seasons, Hart Hanson, Stephen Nathan and the incredible BONES cast and crew have redefined the traditional crime procedural with an irreverent and adventurous sensibility and I'm really happy to have this distinctive, fan-favorite on our schedule for another season," Reilly said.

BONES returns with seven in a row, all-new episodes on a new night and at a new time beginning Monday, April 2 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). In the first of these episodes, "The Prisoner in the Pipe," the remains of an escaped convict are found in a residential sewer, but an examination of the sewer pipes indicates that the murder occurred within prison walls. When Brennan (Emily Deschanel) insists on solving the crime - despite Booth's (David Boreanaz) pleas for her not to overexert herself - the expectant couple experience a very untraditional arrival of their baby daughter.

During the upcoming eighth season, BONES will celebrate its 150th milestone episode.

BONES is a darkly amusing procedural centered on a highly skilled forensic anthropologist who can read clues left behind in victims' bones and an FBI agent. These unlikely partners take on homicide cases involving human remains that most forensic specialists can't handle. The series stars Emily Deschanel, David Boreanaz, TJ Thyne, Michaela Conlin, Tamara Taylor and John Francis Daley.

BONES is from Far Field Productions and Josephson Entertainment in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created by Hart Hanson. Hanson, Stephen Nathan, Ian Toynton, Barry Josephson and Carla Kettner are executive producers. "Like" BONES on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Bones. Bones Brass Issue Ominous Finale Warning: It's 'Going to Scare the Crap Out of People'

Life will never be the same for Booth and Brennan when their little bundle of joy arrives on Bones on April 2 (Fox, 8/7c). No shock there. But the degree to which motherhood affects Emily Deschanel’s tightly-wound alter ego will be surprising.

“She is now a big, open bruise because of another human being, and she will find that very disorientating,” creator Hart Hanson shared during a conference call with reporters on Tuesday. An upcoming episode involving a child victim triggers an unfamiliar reaction in Brennan. “[She] turns to Booth and says in a very shocked way, ‘I find I have a great need to go see [our baby] Christine, and it makes no rational sense.’ She’s just shocked that someone has gotten so deeply into her heart.”
But despite the new addition to the Bones family, one thing will stay the same. “We’re a murder show. That will not change,” maintained executive producer Stephen Nathan. “But when we do go home, they have a new arrival, which changes their lives.” Added Hanson: “The balance won’t change, but the content will.”

As such, Brennan will be back to work just a short eight weeks after giving birth and will have to deal with the struggle of leaving behind her little one for the first time in the April 9 episode. As the new parents get immersed in solving crimes once again, don’t expect bureaucracy to get in the way of Booth and Brennan’s unique partners-in-life-and-work dynamic. “We’re not planning a storyline in which the FBI says, ‘You can’t be partners,’” assured Hanson. “It may come up from time to time, especially from Sweets, that it’s odd to have a couple working together. But it’s not the oddest thing in the world.”
Other highlights from the call:

BONUS TREATS | There’s still no airdate for the four additional Season 7 “bonus” episodes that Fox ordered. “They’re more stylized than we normally would do,” said Nathan of the standalone installments. “We were able to tackle stories that we might not normally have tackled.”

FUTURE PLANS | If the show gets renewed for an eighth season, expect to see some storylines that got put on the backburner because of this year’s shortened episode count. “We weren’t able to give some of the other characters that we love – Hodgins and Cam – more extensive arcs,” revealed Nathan. “We will be doing that if we get picked up.” Also look for “more Booth family stuff,” added Hanson.

A TERRIFYING END | “Pelant’s going to scare the crap out of people in the season finale,” teased Hanson, while Nathan warned that the baddie will “turn the series on its head for a little bit… He has much more power than any of our serial bad guys have had in the past.”
BEST FRIENDS FOREVER | Need some quality time with BFFs Angela and Brennan? Good news: There will be lots of scenes between the pals later this season, including an episode that finds the two playing hooky. And in the season finale, “the audience will get a very good feeling for how close Angela and Brennan are,” previewed Hanson. “In some ways, Angela knows Brennan better than Booth does.”

Bones SPOILER-Latest from Entertainment Weekly 23.03.2012

Q: On a scale of Mary Poppins to Saw: Just how nail-biting scary/shocking is the season 7 finale of Bones for Booth and Brennan? Is there any happiness in the episode for them? Thank you. — Pam.
Pam, knowing that the season finale will feature the return of creepy hacktivist/serial killer Christopher Pellant (Andrew Leeds), your nerves are understandable — especially if you caught Hart Hanson’s cryptic tweet earlier this week: “Our first conversation about the final image of Bones season 7 morphed into a spirited debate. It ain’t gonna go easy…”
I happened to have Hanson and fellow exec producer Stephen Nathan on the phone that day chatting about the show’s April 2 return, so I asked them to elaborate: “We’re all happy with the story, and we’re all happy with the cliffhanger we have,” Hanson says of the finale episode (now titled “The Past in the Present”). “What we’re actually debating is literally the last image that we leave our audience with. We have options as to how it motors us into season 8. There’s a see-saw between hope and confidence and vulnerability and fear that we have to walk. We’re searching for that last poetic image, and that’s what we will argue about up until the day we shoot it — and I’ll bet ya we still argue about it as we’re putting music on the final shot in the editing room.”
Hanson admitted to being incredibly vague, which is how Nathan intends to keep it. “This is an end to this season that we will be more than vague about — more vague than we usually are — because we really don’t want to tell anybody anything,” Nathan says with a laugh. Could we be losing a character we know and love? “We couldn’t possibly tell you if someone you know and love were [going] to die in a horrible way,” Hanson says. “And we are also not going to say Anthony Perkins does it in Psycho,” Nathan jokes.
The quieter they keep, of course, the more fans will speculate. One theory being batted around The Spoiler Room: What if the cliffhanger is a marriage proposal? Booth (David Boreanaz) told Brennan (Emily Deschanel) in the season premiere that she would have to be the one to ask him, and Brennan has been known to take big steps in the wake of a tragedy — she and Booth finally slept together after squintern Vincent Nigel-Murray was killed last season. Perhaps Pellant’s return will be traumatizing enough to get her to pop the question, and the argument is whether the final shot should be one that leaves us elated that Brennan has had this emotional breakthrough or frightened of the dire circumstances bringing it about? Or, maybe the “past in the present” is Booth once again proposing to a woman who’s not the marrying kind, and the cliffhanger is whether Brennan has changed her position on marriage? Theorize below! – Mandi Bierly

With all the hype surrounding BONES’ upcoming trip to Hollywood, I couldn’t help but notice that both the producers and cast were being relatively mum on what role — if any — Dr. Camille Saroyan plays in the episode? — Wilson
The TV Addict: If the producers and cast are being a little less than forthcoming with regards to what role — if any — Cam plays during the show’s much-anticipated trip to Hollywood that sees Booth and Brennan investigate a murder on the set of the film adaptation of Brennan’s book, it’s for good reason. And we say that as someone who was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of Cam’s costume courtesy of Tamara Taylor’s very own iPhone photo album that she was kind enough to show off during a recent one-on-one in Toronto. Suffice it to say, a completely different side of the good doctor doesn’t begin to describe things. So stay tuned!

We can confirm that Daisy will appear in the show's April 2 episode, and she comes down with a little baby fever after meeting the mini-Bones. But we don't think a baby is in the cards for these two. In fact we're hearing that Sweets will be paired up with an acerbic, fresh-out-of-the-academy FBI agent who might not keep things exactly professional with her new partner.

Michelle in Cleveland: Anything on the Bones baby would make me so happy!
Three words: So. Freaking. Cute! We just got done watching the April 2 episode "The Prisoner in the Pipe" and witnessed the most unique TV birth we've seen in a looong time. Think a little less sterile, and a lot more scriptural. There are more precious Booth (David Boreanaz) and Bones (Emily Deschanel) moments than we could count, and while we wouldn't dare reveal the name of the Bones baby, we will tell you that her initials are C.A.B. Start the speculations right... now!

Bones fans, mark April 2 on your calendars. That's the date the Fox drama returns — and when Brennan (Emily Deschanel) goes into labor. Baby daddy Booth (David Boreanaz) plays doctor, delivering their daughter in a stable, of all places.
"They end up not making it to the hospital," teases Deschanel, who gave birth to son Henry last September. "While Brennan screams, I barely made noise during my birth. The only similarity is that neither one of us took drugs."
Post-baby, the duo will face more conflict than ever, says Boreanaz. "The baby adds a whole different dynamic to the relationship," he says. "He wants to be married; she doesn't. Where will they live? There's a lot to figure out."

Pellant changes things between Booth and Brennan and their baby forever- Bones Cast Interviews at PaleyFest 2012!

Emily Deschanel: Pellant comes back and changes things between Booth and Brennan and their baby forever… And not necessarily in a good way!

BONES SPOILER : Emily Deschanel Previews a ‘Softer’ Brennan

Bam! Mama BONES!

Yep, shortly after BONES returns from its (seemingly never-ending) hiatus, Brennan finally gives birth to her daughter — and that means changes are coming for our favorite forensic anthropologist. For instance? She may not be so eager to go back to work. Eek.

But don’t worry, things aren’t changing too much — later in the season when Brennan’s Kathy Reichs books are adapted into a movie, Dr. B has some very character-appropriate reactions to the Hollywood shenanigans she witnesses.

Curious for more? Check out what Emily Deschanel (Brennan) told a couple reporters before

Have fun at the Bones panel! Bring back something juicy! -- Karen

I did have a blast! (Full report here.) And I even brought back a present: Scoop on those four stand-alone Bones episodes! While they don't have airdates yet, creator Hart Hanson tells me that they "took some creative chances" with this batch. "If they would have been in the normal season, maybe the network may have [been apprehensive]," he said. "But we got a little poetic license." One of them? A 9/11-centric episode that brings all the interns together in a creative way, another that is from the point of view of the murder victim, one that deals with identical twins, and another that finds the remains glued to a living person.

SPOILERS TV LINE-Scoop on Bones' Delivery Date and Baby Name, 'Intense' Season Finale Teases, Season 9 (!) Talk

TV Line
Bones fans attending PaleyFest 2012 Thursday night had a ringside seat to a most blessed event: The birth of Booth and Brennan’s daughter!

Prior to the Q&A (moderated by TVLine’s fearless leader Michael Ausiello) with the show’s cast and producers, attendees were treated to an exclusive screening of the show’s April 2 spring premiere, an action-packed, super-eventful episode that culminated with the arrival of tiny Bones.

Not surprisingly, the delivery was anything but smooth. Let’s just say it started in the midst of a prison riot and ended in a… well, not a hospital (to view the hilarious set piece, click here and scroll down to question No. 13.)

Later, Emily Deschanel insisted that her real-life delivery — son Henry was born in September — was far less dramatic than Brennan’s. ”The experience was completely different,” she laughed.

The episode’s emotional high point came in the final minutes when Brennan revealed the name of her and Booth’s bundle of joy (hint: the wee little one is named after two very special women in Brennan’s life).

And how will Booth’s son Parker react to his new half-sister? “You’ll see,” said executive producer Stephen Nathan. “That’s a pretty interesting episode, and not what you’d expect.”

Other topics covered during the PaleyFest panel:

GRAND FINALE | Perhaps the most tantalizing topic was the Season 7 finale, which is being directed by Boreanaz himself. Though the shortened, 13-episode season didn’t allow for many appearances by big baddie Christopher Pelant, “He will show up in the finale and change the course the series for a while,” says Nathan. How so…? “It’ll be a really, ‘Oh my God, how could that person do that?!’ moment,” Boreanaz told us. “That’s all I’m going to say. And it’s pretty intense. It’s not happy.”

BABY + BONES = ??? | Regarding the setting for Brennan’s childbirth  — OK, we’ll say it: she delivers in a stable! — Deschanel was on board with the unconventional venue, as she personally could see Brennan “going to some tribe and having some ritual [during labor] with some women around her.” As for how or if the baby will change the show, “It’s still Bones,” Nathan promised. “We’re not gonna do Parenthood. There’s still going to be someone dead and something revolting… but this baby informs their lives in a completely different way. The show takes a very different turn from a character point of view.”

THE DOC IS STILL IN | “Booth and Sweets [in the field together] is really amusing and works for us,” so look forward to more of that even after Brennan’s back on her feet, Hanson said.

NO MONDAY BLAHS | Hanson called Bones‘ move to Monday nights a “good” thing. “I know we’re supposed to be so upset, [but] we’ve always wanted to be with House and we’re a good match with House. So, we’re up for it.”

ZACK ATTACK? | Fielding an audience member’s inquiry as to whether Eric Milligan might appear as Zack again, Hanson explained that the trick is to find a return story that satisfies longtime viewers but doesn’t alienate new fans. “We have to juggle whether to pick that scab or not,” he said. “If we find something that makes it worthwhile, and Eric is available, then we’ll do it.”

BONUS BONES | Asked about the four “bonus” episodes Fox tacked onto this season… or in front of next season… or somewhere in between… Hanson said the scheduling was still TBD and that the hours would be extremely standalone, yet presumably cover a time period preceding the season finale. “They exist in their own separate universe… so they literally can go anywhere.”

BUT WAIT, THERE’S EVEN MORE? | At one point, Hanson freely referred to Season 9, inviting the question of whether he believes the show will be renewed past next season. “In many ways, Bones is Fox’s most successful hour-long scripted drama,” he contended. “So I’m very confident we’ll be back for Seasons 8 and 9.”

THE PRODUCERS’ TO-DO LIST | The significance of the numbers 4-4-7, which are occasionally sprinkled into scenes (including at least one more time this season), will be revealed “in the last episode of Bones,” Hanson promised. But before anyone gets talking series finale, there’s all this on the bucket list: “Hodgins’ brother, Angela’s mother, Booth’s mother…. These are all places we have to go.”

And how about going to the chapel…? “If they ever get married,” Hanson hedged, “we’ll see a wedding.”

SPOILER: 'Bones' scoop: Births! An upcoming meta episode! And season....9?! -- EW VIDEO

Tonight’s Bones panel during PaleyFest was a prime chance for executive producers Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan and the rest of the cast to entice viewers back to the show, following their fairly long absence from the TV schedule. And if the enthusiastic crowd in attendance is any indicator, that’s exactly what they did.

It started with a screening of the much-anticipated April 2 episode (its first night in a new timeslot) that will finally introduce the world to Baby Bones. [Mild spoilers ahead] In the episode, a routine murder case is complicated by the fact that Bones is nine-months pregnant. We’ll let you watch the actual birth scene (which is quite unconventional!) when the show airs. But if you’re the sensitive type, have some tissues ready.

“The birth episode was very strange for me because my birth experience was so different from Brennan’s,” Emily Deschanel told EW before the event. “My birth experience was much more calm…I really didn’t experience much pain at all, and Brennan is the opposite.” (See more from our chat in the video below!)

Meanwhile, the cast was also visibly excited about the upcoming meta episode that will show viewers the making of a movie based on one of Brennan's books. ("We got jealous of Community and wanted to do a meta episode," Hanson joked.) Among the winks and references? The man portraying Booth in the movie wears a belt-buckle that says "kooky" ridiculous sets that make the current Bones sets look modest, and "Cam is Cam but like you've never seen her before." "It's like if you got drunk and watched Bones," Hanson teased.

But arguably the biggest news of the night came when talk shifted to Bones' yet-unofficial 8th season. "In many ways, Bones is one of Fox's most successful hour-long scripted drama," said Hanson. "I'm confident we'll be back for seasons 8 and 9." That's right, nine. Again, it's all unofficial, but Deschanel and David Boreanaz seemed on board. They fist-bumped to mark the occasion.

More scoop:
+ Nathan says this year's cliffhanger "will certainly change the course of season 8."
+ Daisy (Carla Gallo) is in the first episode back and a few more.
+ An episode will address Parker's feelings toward this new sister.
+ This year's at-large cyber villain Christopher Pellant (Andrew Leeds) will be back for the finale.
+ Nathan says Bones and Booth will experience some parenting difficulties, but "we're not Parenthood." "There's still going to be someone who's dead and revolting and we'll just see how this baby informs their lives...while they're solving these murders."
+ Bones will air it's 13-episode season and the 4 remaining episodes have yet to be given air-dates. These episodes will exist outside the season and be unrelated to the cliffhanger we see prior.
+ No Zack this season.
+ No Zooey Deschanel this season either, but...Emily Deschanel revealed her sister has "talked to me about maybe coming on her show." MAKE IT HAPPEN!
